Have you ever regreted buying a Blue TT Sub?
Hi, I was in my local AD today and they had a Blue TT Sub in the window along with a Yacht Master.
I went in for a try on and liked both but the blue dial and bezel did draw my eyes more. To those of you who have owned the blue TT sub are there any reasons why you regret buying it? How easy is it to mark the gold and does it polish up well if needed? Cheers, PeterT |

Nope. Never. One of the best watch purchases I have ever made - along with the Daytona, the Rootbeer GMT and the DJ...

wanted one the minute I saw it in like 1989, bought one last year and do not regret it one bit. I get compliments on it all the time, people stare, ask about it, comment on it. I had a bartender last week say, hey that almost looks real, I said thanks

I love the bluesy, never regretted it.
It's the only Tone toned Rolex I would get. the blue color is just so gorgeous. the bracelet will show signs of wear but can be buffed out easily. Join us!!

Well, Peter....it's probably one of the most outstanding TT Rolex models out there and, by far, the BEST BLUE dial I have set my eyes on - EVER!!
Yes, the gold can scratch like any polished surface.....so you do need to be careful with that baby on your wrist. But if you plan on buying it....go ahead - you will not regret it!!

It's the only watch I have had that the bad guys noticed and just had to take it from me a while back.. Replaced it this year with a pruchase from Tom.

Was at he AD with my then 11 year old son and asked him to show me the best looking Rolex in the display.
He picked the TT blue sub. He's got great taste.

Never have regretted it. It is one of the most stunning watches Rolex has ever made. I can never stop starring at it when I wear it. Definately one of my favorites.

No and I have to say the older blue dials look better than the newer ones in Z and M's.

Did I regret buying it? Nope.
Did I regret selling it? Nope. The watch is stunning and beautiful. But the clasp just did me in. The clasp is functional and all, but not worthy of a fine piece such as the TT sub. The links too, wish they were solid gold. Now if Rolex ever upgrades the clasp and puts on a better bracelet, now we are talking. But who am I kidding, with the price hikes and those upgrades, it will be more than I am willing to spend. AND, for some reason, the TT Blue sub always just seemed to bring me bad luck. Whenever I wore it, bad things would happen. Was it the watch or something else? Who knows, but I never felt I had issues when I wore other watches. But with all said and done, I did enjoy it when I had it, Still like the looks of it, but do not really miss it all that much these days. |
