Took $30,000.00 out... in cash!

I took $30,000.00 out of savings today in cash. It will remain in my safe until I can buy 7 BNIB SS Daytona's for it.

Heheheheee! I may be sitting on it a while! I hope not!

@ MSRP of $9,000.00 each, did you want the watch included with the Daytona Boxes you want to buy?

7 x US $9,000.00 = US $63,000.00

Glad you withdrew those funds. Now I don't have to send Moose and Rocko to collect it. I will PM you my address so you can deliver it personally.

What was the point of this post then? To get us believing you had $30K in your bank?

Just to emphasize that I would love to see the prices of Daytona's drop. Nothing else! I was being facetious. Sheesh!

Read the initial post for crying out loud!

Drink up indeed. I'm holding my Daytona (in box) in my left hand, and a Miller Genuine Draft can in my right. It's a good thing.

Holy Cow!

(By the way, do we have a Holy Cow smile on this forum?)

I am speechless! Just to be in the presence of a photograph of such a collection gives me constipation!

Congratulations!

Addict yes, but solid investment

Very impressive collection. I only have the 16610LV M serial (08). I did buy a 1990 SS DJ with white roman dial, which I loved, but traded it along with $10k for a Porsche 911 in Monterey in 1992. I wish I still had that watch in my collection. Oh well.

My point though is that although this collection seems a little over the top, even for us in the Rolex forum, it is certainly a much better investment than most things on the NYSE, which dropped a whopping $777 today alone.

Rolex prices keep rising and what we own continues to appreciate in value. Maybe I should buy a few more Rolex pieces myself. Only problem is justifying why I need more than one piece of perfection. I guess it's kind of like the joke about male dogs ... because they can.
