Next Rolex...

Hi Guys

Well I'm back in the saddle after a absence whereby I sold all of my Rolex's (Sea-Dweller, GMT Pepsi, Yacht-Master, 16610LV, & GMT 116710)

Just over a month ago I purchased the Sub Date Ceramic 116610LN & I am loving it. The best all round watch IMHO that works well for everything.

I am also on a waiting list with my AD for the ceramic Daytona, but in the meantime I am looking at another Rolex & am torn between the new Explorer or the GMT Batman 116710BLNR.

Could I have some honest opinions from people please taking into consideration what I currently own, etc. The Daytona is my ultimate goal, but I can't fully decided between the Explorer or the GMT Batman.

Thanks all

I'd go BLNR. Nice to have a little color on the collection.

I would go with the BLNR. Some will say it is close to the Sub in appearance but I don't think so. If you were talking the Polar Explorer II that would be my choice. Completely different from the Sub and the white dial and orange hand are great.

That was my main concern. How similar the Sub & GMT look!

Not looking at the Explorer II

Go with BLNR. Receiving mine today from SoHAIS. Will make a great duo with my 114060 I bought on 2/2017.

I had the BLNR and Sub no-date. Realized it was too similar so I swapped the no-date for the Hulk. Now that's a pretty good combo

BLNR def is popular on the forum and is a great watch.... but would try both on a few times and see what suits your needs/desires. Between the two, I am likely going w the 2016 explorer in a few months

I gave up the 116710LN too many times. I haven't given up the BLNR. I find it has got a lot more character. Good luck deciding. My vote goes to the gorgeous BLNR.

I think you want the Exp as you sold the GMTc already and the Sub is more similar.

I went through a stage 10 years ago when I was just kept buying Rolex watches. Sold all at a profit & now I'm back again. The Daytona is my grail watch but that's long term.

+ 1 and eventually you'll have DaytonaC. So, Explorer is my option as well. You can actually trade your SubC Date for BLNR and buy Explorer on the side. That would be better combination. Good Luck!

Another vote for BLNR, it will keep your mind off the Daytona until its arrival. Have you been given any indication where you are on the list?
