Help! I can't decide!

My company gives employees with 25 years with the company a choice of two Rolex watches. So I am on the older side of being a first time owner.

1 The classic Submariner 904L SS case 116610-LN-0001

2 DateJust 36 116233-0151

I've never owned a watch costing more than $200. The reason being is that I tend to be rough on them. I like the looks of the DateJust except that the dial size is only 36mm. It looks classy be small.

I am leaning towards the Submariner even though it is slightly less expensive than the DJ. I like the steel and bezel.

I'm looking to those more experienced Rolex owners to get a general preference on style and wear ability.

Thanks.......

IMHO, the Sub is the quintessential Rolex. It's an icon of horologistics. :)

The important thing is personal preference. You can't go wrong with either of the choices you have been given. The question becomes, do you like the beefier diver watch style of the Sub or the smaller/slimmer DJ?

Hard on watches? Get the sub, you won't kill it. The DJ has a gold bezel which is softer than stainless steel and will show dings and scratches more.
