Back from HK
Have been travelling to HK for business for over 10 years now but weren't taking notice of watches/Rolex until I got into it recently. It's hard not to miss an AD at every corner of the city. Thought I'd share some photos taken about 2-3 weeks ago.
A short 3 hour stop over in Dubai airport. They had the DeepSea Blue, apparently a customer had cancelled the order. I did try it on but it's too big for my wrist. The BLNR was in stock as well but not on the spot. Had to give it all a pass since it's a bit more expensive than the UK plus CC charges. ADs everywhere in HK but stock looks similarly to UK. Non of the popular SS available. Greys are better stocked I happened to chance upon some smaller second hand shops in TsimTsaTsui. Prices seemed to be much better. |

I just picked up a BLNR in HK Brand New...only one I could find not from a Gray Dealer.
Where did you find the Green Submariner? I haven't been able to find one. |

Wow where did you find the new BLNR? I was asking around and none had any. They dont know when they would get one but would happily put me on the list. Same with the AD at the HK airport.
Saw the green sub at the Grey dealer in TST, near MiraMall. |

Thanks, glad you guys enjoyed the pics.
I've also noticed quite a lot of people wearing Rolexes there. So far I've seen Milgauss, Subs, Kermit, DeepSea, Yachtmaster...even the sales lady at SASA (Ladies accessories) shop was wearing a TT Sub :O |

I was in Hong Kong in Jan for a couple days. Stayed at the Hyatt on Kowloon. There were no fewer than 8 Rolex AD's within a 5 min walk of my hotel. I had never seen anything like it. Wasn't in the market for a watch but man o man, what a selection of pieces. I saw everything I could imagine except for either SS Daytona C's.

You haven't seen the half of it yet. Next trip try to get to some of the arcades in TST. Champagne Court for example has one grey dealer with every watch you've ever wanted to see in inventory. Crazy stuff.

SS Daytona converts to ~$11,400 USD. Not bad.

That must be the one I went to. I was looking for straps and came across a few Grey dealers in there. You were right, they had everything.

Funny thing - I went into a Vacheron Constantin to try the overseas Chrono. I let him know I was looking for a BLNR. They also owned a Rolex Boutique. So I bought it...brand new. They would NOT negotiate in price knowing how hard they are to find.
