Tool For a Tool Watch

Picked up this from RSC. They will only sell it to you on presentation of a SeaDweller!

Two ends, one a 16mm screw driver and the other a pin type think that pops out the old spring adjusters.

I bought one from the RSC in london last year, they were servicing my watch at the time and the tool was missing from the wallet.

You could get a few and sell to some of us here :) I'd happily buy one off you. I was at RSC London and they wouldn't sell it to me. :(

One per watch I am afraid. Had to produce the watch and the sale was raised against the serial number.

Really is the only tool for the job. I tried a load of different ones, a few of which were recommended here such as the Wiha picofinish and after trying them for myself the 2100 is most definetely the only one that fits exactly.

Got the chance to get my hands on 2 of them luckily.

What does "they will only sell on presentation of a sea dweller!" mean?

They will not sell you the item without handing over a SeaDweller so they can take the serial number!

In some RSC that you visit they will only sell you one if you can show them that you own a sea dweller, as this came as part of the original kit with the watch.

I have this tool, reference number 2100. The tip was broken when I bought my preowned sea dweller. I didn't think to bring the broken tool to an AD to get a replacement. These tools are pretty expensive in EBAY. Will try. Thanks for bringing this up.

Same here. They said no problem in selling me the screwdriver when I called at Rolex StJames, but took the watch (Seadweller 16600) behind the scenes for about 20 mins......not sure what they were doing with it? Came back, gave me the screwdriver and invoice and that was it. Reckon if I went back for another with the same watch though they would probably refuse it?

Why exactly is this tool specifically provided with the Sea Dweller?

I recently purchased Swiss made screwdrivers, Horotec brand, with exactly same tip as the Rolex screwdriver.

I got a screwdriver with 1.6mm blade for my Rolex watches, and another one with 1.8mm blade for my Omega watches. They work great and they do not damage the screws at all.

You can check screwdriver details here: http://www.ofrei.com/page1701.html

Here is picture of screwdriver tips taken from link above. Note, I am not associated in any way with Otto Frei, I am simply a satisfied customer.

Also, before putting the screw back into the bracelet I use the tip of a pin to put minuscule amount of low strength loctite threadlocker #222 on the screw. I purchased this at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-38653...h+threadlocker

To adjust bracelet / remove the Flip Lock Sea-Dweller 16600.

Ref. 116600 & 126600 are TOOL FREE !!!

The new Sea-Dweller’s solid-link Oyster bracelet in 904L steel is fitted with an Oysterlock safety clasp that prevents accidental opening. A double extension system allows adjustments to be made without the use of tools, so that the watch can be worn comfortably over a diving suit up to 7 mm thick. The Fliplock extension link extends the bracelet by 26 mm, while the Rolex Glidelock system allows fine adjustment of the bracelet length in 2 mm increments for a total of approximately 20 mm.

Because most of us Flip the Fliplock a screwdriver would still be very useful 🙏
