New Forum Colour

If you go down to the bottom of any page you will see a 'click down' box inside the solid coloured strip.

This will let you select a new forum colour "RolexGreen"

You can change back to the original colour at anytime. Also the new colour scheme is still in a development stage, so any suggestions are welcome.

Apart from green being the Rolex corporate colour, it is a very soothing colour on the eyes and hopefully will add to the continuing enjoyment of your participation on The Rolex Forums.

Perhaps a more subtle version as well, Rolex Green 2.

Maybe only change the color in the box bar. For example right now it would be the "Reply to Thread" bar, "User CP FAQ Members List..."bar and the TRF logo on the top. Three shades of green? Keep the greys and whites the same.

It is a green machine. WOW. I'm dizzy going back to the other color. Reminds me of some bad acid I did 30+ years ago.

Wow - major St Patty's day!!

Too bright for my sensitive eyes, but that's only my opinion. Maybe a green in the same tone and intensity as the blue scheme now?

Thanks, Steve!

Personally, I really like having the message body a very light color, as in the original "blue" style. I find it much easier to read.

Maybe try taking the message body green (a blue-green) and instead use that color where you currently have the yellow-green color on that "bar" above the message. I don't think one can successfully mix blue-green with yellow-green.

Either that, or hire a decorator!

Maybe you'd like me to come over and re-arrange your furniture

I'll try, but I'm not sure I understand

Steve, you're always welcome to visit, but no messing with the furniture!

I know, my explanation was confusing. How about this? Model the green scheme after the blue scheme as far as light and dark greens go.

Use RolexGreen to read this post.

Attention to all who are not using RolexGreen. I think I will use this method to make at least some of my future posts!

I think this colour looks better............

White text is not advisable.

I think the new color looks like a cross between yellow and puke green. If you like it Steve, then we'll all live with it.

Steve,

I've been playing with different color schemes for my "homepage" and its definately not easy to do in green. I've found that the blue is more soothing to the eyes. I guess you just made the color scheme perfect the first time trying.

Are there more colors you can use besides the ones currently here? I think a green with a "grey" hue might have a more soothing effect. Olives? Forrest Green?

I can keep changing this perpetually because colour is a matter of personal preference. I am not sure I can make a colour scheme to everyones personal liking.

Here my opinion. RolexGreen too dark. When using Quote. Black contrast bad. Difficult to read. White contrast excellent.

Woah ... I just tried the Rolex Green and agree that there is too much green which can be toned down ...

Maybe, the title bar of can be pale green (currently blue grey), avatar section cream or pale yellow (currently light grey), and leave the body of the threads white as is

Good on you Steve for thinking of new ways to improve the website
