I think Sotherby's sold a fake 8171

I was looking at the past auctions, and I realized they sold a fake 8171 or at least modified 8171 to me. For $55,000!!! Wong Moon phase dial (looks more like Venus base) Case looks suspiciously pitted wrong crystal too much gap into the calendar dials and moon phase dials. ... Everything tells me this thing was somehow rigged up... How could you not spot that when you are spending that much money?? |

Yes, I think so.
I mean, I looked at it again and again, almost everything is wrong except possibly the dial. I am not even sure dial is even correct. |
