1996 14060 with luminova?

I have a 1996 (T) 14060. Case is in very good shape. (Nylon band) The movement is 3000. (Checked) The dial says Swiss Made and appears to be genuine. The dial, hands, and bezel pip are definitely luminova, not tritium, and also appear genuine. I can't tell if the bezel is aluminum or ceramic but is absolutely perfect. So do I have a 96 where the dial, hands and bezel have been replaced after 2000? Can I assume that the bezel is ceramic? (Not sure if the aluminum insert ever made w/ luminova) Any info appreciated.

Seems that way, and the bezel (insert) will be aluminium.

So the aluminum bezel was made with luminova pip then, as a replacement to match a service dial?

1983 – 1997, The last era of the tritium dials when the glossy dial surface came back, now the luminous was added in a added white gold surround.1998- 2000, LumiNova was invented in 1993 and patented in 1995; Nemoto & Co. Ltd. was contracted in 1998 to provide LumiNova to Switzerland.
Should be aluminum insert....Not ceramic....Is it no holes case?

Aluminium bezels with luminova pips came on 14060m subs until 2010. RSC can also put luminova pips on old aluminium inserts.

If it's a Swiss Made dial Luminova?.. Most likely the insert is Luminova pearl

So question would be...Less desirable that it has non original dial, hands, bezel?

Depends on the market; those wanting untouched original then yes, less desirable. Those wanting functioning lume, perhaps more desirable. Some times I wish my 14060 had lume which I could see well at night. Frankly the 14060 isn't that much of a vintage watch so probably not a big deal.

Like to know what series the case is?
U,P, Serial?.. Rolex used all kinds of dial variations during transitional period to M, The dial could be very well original...Or RSC may have updated dial insert, during service...

Given the pointy four insert...i say been updated during service...still great looking piece...and if you can catch it at a decent price...its a great piece to have...i give anything if I had kept mine

When I tap on the bezel insert w/fingernail I don't get the impression that it's aluminum...But I can't say for sure if it's ceramic. Seems to have a slight texture under a loupe...Prolly need to take it to AD to know for sure guess.

A ceramic bezel or insert will not fit on that watch.

Great watch! My 14060 is also a T serial. Your bezel insert is definitely aluminum, as Adam has already pointed out.

Congrats and enjoy!

I just found my watch in the sold file on the site the seller bought it from six months that ago (he needed money and could keep it). It is a very reputable site and it is listed as service dial, hands and insert. I would have preferred it all original but I'm pretty happy with it. It's my first sub (6th Rolex).
