Visiting San Diego next week and want to get a black SS Daytona
Ok I know the chance is slim, but with a helpful community in TRF I think it's still worth asking.
I'll be visting San Diego next week for a few days from Canada and would like to shop for a black SS Daytona (or perhaps a DSSD or GV). Can anyone recommend any good ADs in the area that could possibly have one in stock? I know there are Ben Bridge and Tourneau in the area but would like to hear your comments on other ADs. Also do you think the Rolex store in South Coast Plaza is worth visiting? As I can't check the list of California Rolex ADs here in Canada because the stupid Rolex website only shows the ADs in Canada as it only displays your local ADs since it validates your IP, so any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jason |

Not as familiar with San Diego as I am with L.A. But being rationale, San Diego is what the 6th largest city in the country? Daytona demand still remains very high I can't fathom you being able to walk into a San Diego AD and finding an SS Daytona.
The Rolex store at South Coast Plaza is cool, but probably not worth the hour or so drive north. Just randomly check a few AD's but I wouldn't count on finding one.

Oh yeah, as far as AD's go, Ben Bridge, Royal Maui, and Jassop are your best bets.

No SS Daytonas at South Coast Plaza yesterday.
But I did try on a Rose Gold Daytona and a DSSD. Neither rang my bell. My favorite is still the white face Daytona Something just magic about wearing a Daytona. |

The list price of a SS Daytona is $9600 Cdn as there was no increase in price in October (but I figure it will come soon). However, none of the 3 ADs in Vancouver will sell you one at list. 2 of them demanded $13K and the other one saved them for their VIPs.

The DSSD seems to be fairly available between SD and LA... I have seen availability for a few in the past couple of weeks.
The Rolex store at South Coast IMHO is worth visiting just because there are so many Rolex watches to see.... Also, there is a Ben Bridge just down stairs from the Rolex store so, you could kill a couple of birds... I think it is improbable to find a SS Daytona or GV randomly. But, stranger things have happened. There are amazing stories of that happening all of the time on this forum! Good Luck. Enjoy your trip - the weather in So. Cal right now has been very nice!

Thank you very much everyone for the responds. I really appreciate it.
I guess I will just stay within the San Diego area and randomly check out a few ADs and see if my luck will come. Fingers crossed. |

Good luck, but if you find one by walking in off the street, I'd immediately buy a couple lottery tickets -- it will be your lucky day.
