SD50 pics.

Had a "display" model in stock at Wagner in Vienna. They will not sell it as they have a policy to not sell display models. They will only do special orders. Was surprised that it wasn't too big at all. The case does the trick. Here is a pick from further away on my 6.5" wrist. Never was on my list with the size but after trying it on I will be purchasing it eventually.

I believe you meant SD 43.

Looks amazing.

Off topic - I wonder how many CO people are active on TRF? We should attempt a "meet-up" in Denver for drinks.

Looks good on you
What's a display model? Looks like it isn't the road show model since it has a movement in it On hold for someone else?

Looks very nice on the wrist! What a difference a properly fitted bracelet does, there was another poster (PMT2) asking if the SD43 looks too big and he has the same wrist size. I have to say, the SD43 has really grown on me, it's gaining on the BLNR for me.

The way they explained it to me at two of their stores is they keep actual working display models for most models that they do not sell. I saw one of these at two of there stores. They wouldn't sell them no matter how hard I tried. I even emailed their corporate and they explained the display model thing. Weird right?!

Where in Colorado do they have a demo to check out? I am on a list, but did not think anyone had one to check out.

Thanks for the info.

Upon closer reading, looks like the shop is in Austria, not CO.

Presentation models do not have movements, you'd be disappointed if you bought it.

Seems so weird.
"Yes, thanks for your email. It is a display model. It's new and very hard to get. We have a couple, but we won't sell them since they're hard to get. We're just going to tease everyone for 6-9 months until your special order comes in"

Last year when the Daytona C came out I was at a NJ AD and I tried a white dial on. I asked to buy it and they told me that Rolex took a piece of the movement out so it wasn't functional. Obviously I knew they were full of it. I assumed they had it sold to someone else already and didn't want to tell me...

SD50 looking GREAT on your wrist. Lugs don't come close to hanging over the edge of your wrist.....My wrist isn't much bigger than yours, and its flat like yours....Hmmm, could be a good fit for me!

Amazing what a photo from a couple of feet away can do. ;-)

Happy for you op, but subjectively for me that looks borderline too big....I'd personally try to rock a smaller watch but it's what makes you happy. Great to have choices.

I'm happy he's happy with rocking the watch, whereas I'd be far more reluctant due to that fit.

Sorry but a 40mm sub or sd40 would look much better. This is not bad but can be worn only with casual attire in your case.

He tried on a display model of a watch and liked it, but they wouldn't sell it to him at two different locations, despite him emailing corporate to plead his case. I just didn't see what there was to be happy for him about.

Oh that's what you're talking about. I was focused on the topic of the fit of the watch. Somehow I don't think that's going to be an issue in no time at all, I don't forsee this being difficult to buy for msrp in a couple months or less.
