3 day hospital stay robotic umbilical hernia surgery

So I had robotic umbilical hernia surgery. I spent 3 days in the hospital. It was painful, taking Dilaudin every two hours for pain and not getting much rest. I took my Submariner off prior to surgery and left it at home. I felt disoriented when waking up from weird drug induced dreams ,not having my watch on my wrist. It NEVER leaves my wrist. Happy to report I'm home recovering,
Getting stronger every day AND the best part is my trusty Submariner has a 50 hour power reserve!IMG_2985.jpg

Glad you are home.

I had appendicitis and in the process ended up having an umbilical hernia that needed repair. Sucked.

Just make sure to keep on the dulcolax if you stay in the narcos. Because not being able to go to the bathroom makes the abdominal pain much worse.

Thanks appreciate the well wishes. Never been so happy to pass gas and have a bowel movement. Using copacetic as a stool softener. Hope I'm not too graphic!

Best wishes to you. I spent 2 weeks in hospital once and it was NOT fun. Home is where the recovery occurs.

In hospital three days for an umbilical hernia!?! That was some kind of hernia! Incarcerated?

And robotic? Why?

Mine was outpatient in a surgeon's office. In and out in about 3 hours. I took acetaminophen for pain the first 24 hours and shot sporting clays the next day.

You obviously had more going on than I did . . . a lot more!

My heartfelt sympathy!

I had this done in Jan 2016.

I was in at 9AM and going home at 2PM. 3 days worth of Percocet and all was well.

Glad you're recovering.
