New arrival - 16030

After a few months of searching, I finally got what I've been looking for. My birth year 16030...so excited!!!

First time I've bought a watch off the internet so it's been a little terrifying and I'm still a bit paranoid, but I did do a little research before I bought this and this forum has been amazing for that, couldn't have done it without the help of you guys.....so thanks for that!!

Even so, do let me know if something seems off to you in the pics.

Congrats! I'm also looking for my birth year (1986) 16030... Haven't had much luck so far - at least one in the condition that I'm hoping for.

Looks great. Congrats! I'm addicted to my 16030 (1986). It's a great reference.

Congrats! The engine turned bezel and classic "Rolex rattle" makes these older DJs very special.

Thanks, no got it off Chrono24, there were a couple on eBay I had my eyes on but they were a bit on the expensive side for what they were.

Nice 16030! The box is a Chinese fake, you can tell by the cheap pillow and wrap. I have one of those myself, it came with some watch I bought years ago. I tell you to prevent the embarrassment of selling a fake box should you ever move on to something else.

Here's my beautiful 16030!

Thanks Richard! I think it's going to be a keeper but thanks for the info, I had my suspicions about the box, no wonder they didn't have it any of the photos online.

You've got a great looking watch there! Really like the dial and the rich colour of that strap.

Yes, keep it, no collection is complete without a plastic DJ. :)
