Sub on rubber
Hello all. I have had my sub now for about 5 years, and only just found this forum, so this is my first post. Anyway I thought about trying a few different looks recently and ordered a few different straps to go on my various watches. My curiosity got a hold and although not originally bought for the sub, I tried this rubber bracelet on anyway. So here it is. Not one for the purists, but very comfortable an surprisingly practical as I have to wear it on with a dry-suit every day. Well it is a nice change for a while. Love to see any other interesting combos with the sub out there as well.

Welcome! TRF is a great place to hang around. I love the look of that band. Can you provide any info on it? I wouldn't mind getting one for my sub. Thanks.

Thanks. I ordered it from Roy at RLT watches in the UK, but it is just a fairly basic oyster type rubber strap. I guess a search for watch strap dealers should find something in the US, failing that e-mail Roy. Originally I was just after a couple of NATO straps, but I saw this and got it too.

Hmmmm, the idea of a sub on rubber, while it sounds like the title for a porno, is good. That particular rubber band, though, doesn't appeal to me -- perhaps I just dislike the rubber band trying to be a mock oyster. Perhaps a clean-lined regular rubber band like Pam watches have would work better. Just a thought.

Even if I don´t like that strap, I have considered one with a carbon fiber look with rounded edges. Don´t worry about negative opinions. You might not like my taste either.

I get enough stick from JJ for my leather, NATO and CF straps. Rubber would be stretching it too far.

Can't really say I like the rubber strap, maybe if it were just a simple 'smooth' strap it would be a bit better. Welcome though.

I bought one very similar to that, but have yet to swap out the stainless Oyster band for my new rubber one. One the 'Bay, search for
20mm Black Oyster Style Silicon Deploy Clasp Strap. I've seen ones with buckle strap style instead of a deloyment clasp too. |

Looks to Casio for me - especially with the 'fake' metal bracelet look.
Cool idea though!
