New gold jumbo
The story of why I decided to buy a Royal Oak is covered in the thread on my 15400 purchase a couple months ago.
Since then, I've been second guessing my decision not to get it in all gold. I have other PM pieces, but they're all in white gold. Then I tried the 15400 in all gold and even though I prefer that size in steel or two tone, I realized I really wanted 39mm if I was going full gold. TRF to the rescue with the 15202OR recommendation a few days ago. Made a good deal with Thanh (he's always the man), and today my new gold jumbo arrived! Pics...

Thanks for all the kind comments, folks. Wore with shorts and a polo to the car show today. Not at all flashy or "bling." Other than being gold, it's actually a little more muted than my two tone 15400 was. I may be biased, though, as I wear other PM pieces casually too.
Setting the date takes a long time! Definitely going in the winder when not being worn. |

Big congrats and Thanh is the best...That's who I got mine from as well. You are going to love it. The bracelet is by far my favorite of any watch I've ever owned. The blue dial and rose gold are just spectacular. To me nobody does rose gold quite like AP!
