16610 Rattly End Links
My 16610 (1998) has rattly end links..what is the best way stop the horrible rattly noise....apart from buying a newer model with solid end links?

They are a feature not a problem. But it's not the end links that are rattling, it's the hollow links throughout the bracelet. Personally I would wonder what was wrong if my bracelt did not rattle a bit.

Sometimes a quick wash and cleaning of the watch does the trick

Take out the spring-bars and make sure that they are not worn through.. or that they are the correct for the watch... Rolex spring bars are 2mm wide and most others are much smaller..

Pretty common complaint with non SEL bracelets. Regardless of what you do, there will be a slight rattle.

However, to prevent the rattle from actually getting louder and more persistent, keeping the bracelet links clean will really benefit a lot.

GMTIIc has absoutely no rattle in the bracelet. I even wear it loose fitting so that it hangs below the wrist bone. Still no rattle whatsoever. The bracelet links are solid and fit together with perfect precision.
Time for a new GMTIIc perhaps? |
