New dial--Mid year?

Anyone else notice that a new dial for the Datejust 41 just came out? I have rarely seen a mid-year launch of a new dial...

They also removed the 126300 - blue dial from the configurator....

They did that once with the DSSD blue dial.

And what's really strange (for me) is that I'm not a DJ guy. Never have been, but that dial color combo is kind of speaking to me! Might have to check one of those out in the flesh when they're available.

Cheers,

J

I think I saw that a couple of months ago, I was a little surprised it was the same config as the old.

me too! But I'm not into the TT watch. If they made it in SS I might be a buyer.

I typically don't love the gold/smooth combination but this model is gorgeous. It combines so many colors attributes that I love about Rolex.

Is that the same as was on the DJII? Loved that green ...wished it was on the all steel version, but still damn nice on the TT.

This dial is available since Basel this year. I already mentionned it in may, here.

Regarding 126300 with blue dial, it is still available.
Maybe it was removed from online configurator, but Rolex site isn't (and have never been) the reference ... on that subject.

I thought the same when I came across this version. I already have a vintage DJ, TT, Jubilee bracelet with white roman dail/fluted bezel.

I remember this version on the DD II and thought it was a solid attempt at blending a few different colors with roman numerals on the dressy DJ. Of course, the bulky DJ II proportions were never to my liking. This model's dial is borderline busy.. though, with the smooth gold bezel it is fantastic.

I've been wanting to get an oyster bracelet, smooth bezel, all steel DJ as a "daily", toned down wearer (as I have a "Hulk" that I enjoy owning more than wearing...) But this watch screams sexy.

I've seen some ads and social media pics of Roger Federer wearing it.
I have a screen shot but still cannot figure out the new picture sizes to upload to TRF.

Usually don't like the Roman numeral dial but I do like this & on the picture with Roger Federer it looks like a fluted bezel which I think makes it look even better .

Rolex will on occasion make dial changes mid-year. For example, the TT Daytonas last year changed a bit after Basel. There was even a short production of the Arabic TT Blue Dial Daytona with the newer style bezel post-Basel 2016 that to the best of my knowledge only lasted several months before model line changed mid-year.
