Was wearing my three week old blro today with this denim? army parka and made many light scratches on the lug and there were no metal in the sleeves
:( imo pcl looks better with some scratches but still feel a little sad

I can believe it. The BLRO is so incredibly soft compared to my other stainless 5 and 6 digits. Scratches happen but the first few always hurt the most. Between Dr K and John Mayer, I wonder who's BLRO is the most scratched

Oof those scratches on the case look rough, I'm surprised the jacket was able to do that much damage...wouldn't your sleeves be over your watch anyways, seems off that would be the source of the scratches.

I noticed the same thing with the gold links in my bluesy compared to SS. It's definitely softer. I also notice they are easier to polish out with a cape cod due to the softness. Should be easy to take care of but others won't notice it just the owner. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would definitely only wear an SS as an everyday watch. It's a great watch and always fixable. If it bothers you to much I'll PM you my address and you can send it to me :)

Coarse fabric, soft metal.

Personally, I cut four inches off of the left sleeve of every shirt and jacket that I own, so I never have that problem.

Is there a steel button holding the inside lining in place? That would be the only thing I could think of that would cause that.

I bet those snaps have a metal retainer piece on the inside of the sleeve. I don't believe just the fabric would cause the damage in the picture.

I had a similar experience recently with my leather motorcycle gloves, at the top of each glove is a press stud on a small leather tag. It put a nice set of scratches on my oyster bracelet.

The stupid press stud was on each glove to keep them together when not being worn. Suffice to say I've amputated those stupid studs and relegated them to the trash

I have had clothes fabrics that scratched my watches. But not that badly. Mind you, gold is apparently not as scratch resistant as steel, still that looks like something other than fabric IMO.

That's a bummer. It looks like (by the location and direction of the scratches) that there has to be some rougher edging on the end of your sleeves and it may have mildly rubbed against the part of your watch that hangs the lowest while on your wrist walking/moving arms etc.?

Yes and it's jackets inside rivet snap on that is scratching the side lugs of the damn Rollie.
It's not the material of the jacket here by looking at the 2 buttons adjustment snap on rivets 2 inches up the cuffs. Maybe fold the cuffs next time you get cold and wear that nice military inspired jacket of yours.

First cut is always the deepest!!!

Is that watch made of Swiss cheese.

I am sorry to see that, I would have taken it out on the jacket for sure. There must be something metal there or it's something in the end of the sleeve. The scratches look very linear to me.
