Daytona service advise

It's been ten years since I purchased my Daytona and I'ed like to get it serviced. Nothing drastic just a polish up-lube-adjust running bit fast. Should I send to a RA service center or a private jeweler? What should I expect to pay and which Rolex center is preferred. I was told some are better than others.

Rolex service ,basic charge is 600,for a Daytona I think it's a 1000.Rick Dietl at time care inc is good ,reliable and cheaper.He worked on a Daytona for me.

Last time I sent one out was to the Texas center, was 500 for a Sub

Sorry for my ignorance, but is there a reason why the daytona would be a little more expensive to service? Is it due to the different complication?

Many independents will not service the Daytona as its back to Rolex, a service at a RSC around $1000 after service watch will have a full two year warranty with the RSC.

Even ADs (in the UK) will not service a Zenith Daytona - Straight back to Rolex and the price for the basic service is £890.00.

More expensive as it's chrono. I would send it to Rolex themselves. There are good independents but you get full warranty from the RSC.

RSC in Dallas seems to have better reputation than the others. I used Dallas too and was happy with their customer service and the final results. I had my bracelet adjusted at NYC RSC, which I believe would the the closest RSC for you, but others noted some negative experience.

I have had good results at both New York and Dallas Service Centers. I would take it to the RSC in NY in person and drop it off. Get an estimate and decide. If the watch is 10 years old the 1K it cost is not much and if it carries you another 10 years it is even less. You will also get a warranty. Independents can do the work, but why?

RSC Dallas serviced my Zenith Daytona. TT ran $975.
