How tight should the crown be(twin lock)

Hi, I know people have asked this question before, but I haven't seen a thread that talks about the twin lock crown specifically, so I figured I would start my own.

I picked up my AK today from being pressure tested. They set the time for me and I was on my way. When I got home I synced it with the atomic clock and noticed that when I was unscrewing the crown I had to use some force and it actually left a bit of a mark on my thumb. Clearly it was screwed in very tightly.

When I screwed it back in myself, I only screwed it in finger tight. It seems as though it would turn a bit more if I put some force into it. Should I just do it finger tight? Thanks!

I generally just snug it down with channel locks and call it good.

orings do the job of sealing, you need to have it down tightly by hand as the manual states. some wrench it down real good and make it hard to unscrew again. I personally think that the crown and tube can withstand tightening better than any other, but it will wear it out quicker if abused or more than finger tight repeatedly. Things wear when you use it, Rolex included, but the Rolex is so durable that it will serve you well in most cases and under most conditions.
