Dial Question

First time poster, but long time reader. I have a question about the blue dial on the daydate. On the website it appears more solid blue, but it looks entirely different in person. Is this just due to lighting in the store? Does anyone have blue dial pictures for daydate or datejust. The smurf is a different dial that is more flat blue, which I like, but the dd is amazing.

I apologize for not wiping the finger smudges off the day date in store before snapping the picture.

Also, does anyone have any whitegold dd pictures with a white dial or black dial?

The dials always look different in the stores due to the sneaky lights.

The blue dials tend to change shades based on different lighting and angles. It'd what I love about blue dials

That's what I figured. Just thought I'd post the question. The watch is absolutely stunning in person. It makes me think long and hard about which watch to go after first.

I love the daydate in white gold, but the sub 114060 is probably first up though. The white dial Daytona is the last one on the list.

That is a beautiful watch. The dial really looks different in different lighting. As beautiful as it is, if I were looking at a DD, I would gravitate to a color unique to the series like the green. I don't mean this disparagingly but it's virtually indistinguishable from a DJ with the blue dial.

Which is why it's always good to try on a watch vs. go by pics. And...it's going to look different in various settings as opposed to the lighting in the store.

The blue you're referring to has a tendency to be more muted in low light situations and absolutely brilliant out in the sun. Which I like.
