Latest addition, now making 3...

So I have here, 3 that are dear... all bought recently, after completing what I call the "watch voyage". Now I'm very close to being at the end of my journey - and until the last couple of tweeks can be made, this is where I stand...

The omega SMP 300
The one that started it all... The 1120 cal "bond" (tho not the same colour), that was my original "must have" swiss watch. Even before I knew the difference between automatic and quartz... I recall 20 years ago , finishing university, saying : that is what I'll buy with my first pay check... Ironically, the last to be reacquired:
Its got great presence, and for sheer bang for your buck - its a good buy. My work/gym or less fussy piece.

The rolex 14060 submariner
To me the definition of rolex. A true wearer... Again I've had a few permutations of this guy - but ultimately this one was the original "rolex for me". It was an obsession and a milestone, Now reacquired... Its not so old that its become delicate in anyway, and its not so new that it's original lines are diluted.

The audemars piguet 15202st
Of all the (currently attainable) holy Trinity, this one reference sung the loudest to me. I honestly preferred it to the 5711, and couldn't when spending that kind of money, get something I "understood was the best"... So I got the one " I felt, was the best".

There's a tweek or two in the pipeline... But waiting lists and luck being what they are - this is my stable for now!

Hope you can see the love!

Fantastic collection, that stainless bezel on the Omega, never saw that before. Always liked the SMP, love the AP. Enjoy.

That's a great trio mate, do I presume the waiting is for one of the popular SS Rolexes? If so they will be great additions.

Great trio, I can see why you're happy with it! I have 2 of your 3 myself!

Wow - go big! I could see myself going hard like this if funding allowed. That said, i think there is value in living with a new piece for a while before adding another. I've been into watches forever, but only just picked up my first Rolex (DJ41). I had many other lower cost watches in the past, but always had them for a while before making another move. I bonded with each one along the way. Sort of like a song that reminds you of a time period in your life, each one had/has special memories associated with it. I imagine getting multiple incredible pieces like you have now would maybe change that bonding a bit - keeping me arms length and from really loving any one of them. Adding them one at a time would mean building a relationship with each one individually. Anyway - like I said, it's not feasible for me to do what you have in a short-time. If it was, I'd most likely do it! So it is easy for me to pontificate on the merits of doing it slowly in any case, you have three icons that anyone would be happy to own individually. Congrats

I appreciated the time you put in here...

Although I got them in short succession, I have totally been mindful of your approach. It just isn't evident from my post I agree...

Plenty of memories...
The "voyage" I referred to, has been a 20 year one.... With lots of evolution and appreciation taking place, then finally - bringing me here

One of the good things about the post Brexit slowdown is that flipping is not so easy, so it does force you to really enjoy the pieces you have and builds nice anticipation for the next.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that Seamaster is titanium? Looks like an Aquanaut would be right at home.

No mate
Just an unusual polished bezel.... Its certainly not common
- have seen one before, also it has a slight blue tint to the dial and bezel markers... Its a kind if off black!
