Hindsight, hindsight, 'If Only',

Was recently trolling some internet pre-owned dealers of Rolex. Was surprised to see a reference 1530 oyster perpetual for sale. Given that I HAD owned one back in the early 1980's, and then sold it for something else. I paid just a few K. The dealer who site listed a 1530 had it at $9995.00. More than double what I had paid. The famous words, "if only" never more ring true.

Imagine if you bought a bunch Daytona's back in the late 60's early 70's probably for few hundred dollars and sold them as NOS now.....like hitting the lottery

If the internet forums had existed in the 70s/80s as it did today, surely someone would have posted "If I had only bought those Rolex bubblebacks back in the days...".

Well, look at where the demands for bubblebacks are today?
