Does two tone work in gym shorts?

I'm on the hunt for my next watch. So far I've had a datejust 116234 but it was too small, a bluesey 16613 which I really liked but prefer the newer model, and a BLNR which I really liked but have an itch for two tone. My main issue is that I primarily wear gym shorts but I really enjoy a two tone watch. Is it strange to wear a two tone with gym shorts? If so, what is a good watch to wear? I've sold all my watches and I'm beginning to think my only solution is to have two watches as I may never be happy with just one. I'm currently eyeing a 116613 and 126331.

My friend! If you are in the position to wear gym shorts everyday, you can wear any watch you want ;)

That said, I don't care much for two-tone but I think the sub would look right at home in sportswear.

GMT Master II would also look good. Don't you regret selling your watches?

I do but not for long. I just get bored of one watch very quickly. I'll admit I thought the BLNR would be my one watch for a long time, but like I mentioned earlier, it just made me want a two tone after a short time.

You primarily wear gym shorts? Are you like 12 or something?

If I were in that attire most of the time, I'd go for a Sub on a RubberB.

Lmao no a two tone doesn't go with shorts IMO a friend of mine has a two tone sub and he remarked how a stainless seemed more versatile.

Either 12, retired or a personal trainer. My guess, retired?

If one's inseam is longer than 8" and your shorts are black, navy or bottle green, then a 2 tone is fine. If between 3" and 7", and red or yellow, then something in steel is preferable.
Shorter than 3" in any color, and you'll want something with either "Diesel" or "Anne Klein" on the dial....Those are the rules...

Please, never stop asking these questions....

I guess they're ok in gym shorts but I prefer to wear them on my wrist.

Does two tone work in gym shorts?

All Rolex models works until the power reserve runs out.

They don't know if you're wearing a tux or gym shorts.

Hopefully Basel 2018 will bring out a Rolex that won't work/run with gym shorts.

Notice where I'm going here?

My opinion.....a watch that goes with gym shorts would be...G Shock, Garmin, heart rate monitor, etc...

Ha. Yes, exactly. Well put buddy!!

I do like TT tho. And I think a person wears the watch, not the other way around. Wear what you like OP. It's that simple.

I think two tones look odd with any shorts, so yeah I don't think it will work with gym shorts. Plain black sub might be best IMO

Do what you want. I wear mine at gym as I don't trust the locker.
Straight from work to gym, hence no choice but to wear it.

I'd put watches aside until you get your pants situation sorted out.

I think TT looks odd period, with maybe an exception to the DJ41. But generally speaking, go SS or all out PM and of course this is my personal view.

Tool / sports watches in SS and dress watches in PM. Yea I know I'm true to the classics

We're still not clear here if the OP is 12, a personal trainer or retired.

If either of the first two, then I'd say no on the TT. If retired and old enough to not care what people think, then yes, it's fine.

I had the TT 116613LB and for me it was too flashy, even with long pants on.

No, it's strange to only wear gym shorts. Unless you work in a gym....or as a coach....or are 12 years old.

The comments are great, thank you everyone for the replies. To answer a couple questions, I'm 27 and work at a software company where we don't see anyone outside the company so we have no dress code. I like to work comfortably and for me that is gym shorts. I just wanted to hear people's thoughts on someone wearing a two tone with gym shorts. I felt that the BLNR was a great choice but again, it just didn't satisfy me.
