SD43 Owners - Remove your diver extension!

I saw someone post this on TRF somewhere about removing the diver's extension and putting back in a link / half link that made the watch fit like a glove and 100% more comfortable.

In all the free time I have , I did the switch last night and it actually made a noticeable difference (you may notice immediately, you may notice in 24 hours). IMO any wetsuit I've worn I normally have my watch still on my skin and sleave pulled up an inch, or the glidlock system is enough to fit over anything more. (albeit if you have a dry suit or already maxed your glidlock and dive frequently enough, maybe don't do this).

Just wanted to share that made a noticeable difference

Yeah...using this principle and the half link, it has a surprisingly comfortable fit for such a big watch.

I have removed the divers extension and added a half link on both by deep blue and SD4k. It's a standard move and it makes a world of difference

On the beach & on the wetsuit ( no pic with bracelet, but wear it without problem on 3mm thick wetsuit)

The same thing is with my Hulk too..

In the clasp is enough space for hand only and later for wetsuit..

That clasp is fantastic thing.. I love it.

I also removed the divers extension and found it to be much more comfortable. The extension is almost like the size of two links but of course without the bend that makes the bracelet comfortable wrap the wrist.

If the extension is completely concealed in the clasp it's no issue but let's say you leave your glidelock at the half way mark, you're essentially extending what is already the biggest clasp rolex makes by another centimeter! There's no bend or play so it's like wearing a 2-3" bar on the underside of your wrist. No thanks ;)

+1 on dive extension removal. Did it right when I got mine. Instantly fit better.

Never tried my D-Blue with the diver's extension, I had mine taken out on purchase following some great advice on here. For such a beast of a watch, the D-Blue is very comfortable.

Would the AD do this during an initial fitting?

If you ask, I don’t see why not. Just make sure it’s done by someone who knows WHAT TO DO.
I started off wearing mine with the extension for the first couple of weeks of ownership. It wore fine, but once I had the extension removed it just contoured to my wrist. Extremely comfortable.
