Fat Lady 16760 doubt

Hello falks,
I am looking for a good fat lady since a while and I found a 1988 that seems a patchwork (wrong bezel, the jubilee was a 1976...but I like it)
The big doubt I have is the quadrant that shows a clear area in the center that is creating some headache: what can it be? humidity? according to you is it normal into a 30 years old watch? I have also a 16520 of 1990 and there is nothing like this...

Photographing a watch using Google Earth is never the sign of a confident seller but I would suggest that what you highlight is indeed degradation of the dial. There is little more that can be said without better pictures, but if it is likely to grow worse then you face significant problems of replacement and therefore value in due course. Unless the watch is significantly discounted from the price of one with a sound dial, it may be wise to keep looking yet.

Patience is a great weapon in any vintage buyer’s armoury, second only to knowledge!

The gloss finish on the fat lady dials (and a number of others in the 80's) was particularly susceptible to going matte from moisture in the case. I have seen lots with varied mottled markings like that. This one has obviously turned matte in the photo.
