SS Sub or SS GMT IIc
I have narrowed down my decision to these two watches. My AD says he can get me a 5% discount on both so that would be $5,700 for the Sub and $6,650 for the GMT. Which watch would you chose if you could only have one and why? Are these good prices for these watches? Thanks!

I have both but prefer the SS sub. I am not sure why but whenever I'm wearing my sub I can't get my eyes off it!!

The Sub is my choice. The GMT is very nice but the Sub is more classic in my eyes.

The GMTIIc is the best watch out there today. The sub is like Cinderella's ugly step sister.

I had the same dilemma as you a while back and ultimately chose the sub date. I dont like the polished center links of the GMT AT ALL. Plus I didn't want to spend $700 for a bezel. I personally like the look of the sub more. For me the sub is a watch that I can wear EVERYWHERE. I wear it to the beach, to work, to the gym, out at night, and even to do light yard work. No way I would wear a GMT to the beach and I spend alot of time at the beach year round. I'm not knocking the GMT, I just like the sub better. |

"Listen to your heart"
I would try the Sub and then the GMTc at your AD and you'll know which one you really prefer. If you're like me, you will need to try them on several times before deciding.
If it were me, I would go home with the GMTc on my wrist, no questions! It's the journey, not only the destination, so enjoy the process to the fullest and please post your decision. |

The Sub was my choice. I didn't want the polished center link and to me the sub has a more classic look that can be worn on any occasion.
In the end it's what works for you. Try them both, take your time and when in doubt buy both! |

Interesting question !!!
If you don't have a Sub date in your collection then I would reckon its must have watch ,if you already have one then don't hesitate for GMT IIc . |

I would get the GMT II c
The word on the street is that come Basel 2010 and the 16610 is history and will be updated with a new clasp, bezel, and maybe even a maxi dial. I would not like to have a watch that was considered the "old" style but you need to buy the watch that winks back at you only you will be able to decide |

I'm gonna have to vote for the GMT. The Sub looks nice, but the GMT looks nice and probably has more practical applications for everyday use.

Owned and wore a SS Sub and do miss it sometimes but the GMTIIc is a better wtach all round...........pretty simple
If the Sub does get updated as some claim (New Clasp, bezal and dial) then it will be a much tougher question to answer...........who's prepared to wait for a maybe? |
