Rolex Dubai

Quite an impressive building

Not such an impressive stock of sports models however. The ADs and Boutiques were almost as bad as the UK

Lots of Gold and platinum on display however

i suppose its natural to be disappointed when expecting a Rolex branded skyscraper to stock the entire building with watches instead of a small space at the bottom

I must admit I am struggling to get information out of the Dubai AD, on the waiting list for Daytona C and SD43 for sometime, still waiting.

They don’t tend to have waiting lists for hard to get SS pieces.

They simply offer them to regular clients that buy a handful of PM pieces every few months.

How about Dubai duty free-I will be transiting Dubai in 4 weeks- will there be any chance of lucking out with a SS piece?

I was there for 6 months in 2012. There are ADs in several malls (all the same company), but there was no AD in the Rolex building. Security guard I talked to agreed it was weird. He did not know why the AD closed. It is good that they have finally got another AD in that location.

Even Dubai? I thought SS were easily obtainable there... no where is safe... from Brexit. Who would have thought Rolex would have taken our departure so personally. They are punishing the whole world!

Nothing on display Neil. The salesperson in the Dubai Mall was interested to talk about my SD43.

Lots of PM a and every jemstone encrusted piece Rolex make. For the record the white gold Daytona on a bracelet with the steel panda dial (as normally seen on Oysterflex) is even more beautiful in the metal. Reminds me of my old 6239. Simply stunning!

Was in Turkey last week and visited 2 AD, no sport models available and waiting list for new SD and Daytona. Visited one grey dealer who offered me new SD for 11K euro in cash, did not take it

I liked the OF too when I tried it on, just thought I'd prefer a silver dial or white to the steel.

I saw some models in Mirdif City Center, staff willing to order some of the sports models which were not in stock, but the waiting time is around 4 weeks. High demand for sports models here due to expats concentration.

The Rolex Dealers in Egypt at times can be a good source as well. A few years ago the AD I checked out had the largest selection of solid 18kt Rolexes with black Tahitian pearl dials I have ever seen in one place. They also had a lot of Meteorite and the gem encrusted models as well. When I checked the AD’s out this past March they had a good selection but not as many hard to find ones.

Agree that’s my experience, not sure about one comment they don’t do lists. Full of all the gold models, if you want a gold Daytona you could buy one tomorrow.

Coming from Australia with little to no availability-I am travelling to the UK and was hoping to pick something up somewhere on the route
Interestingly went to a AD here and was told if I buy a less popular model eg DDJ a sub could perhaps materialise later the same day for purchase!

Dubai duty free in terminal 3 was poor yesterday when I flew through there. No SS sports models. Lots of DateJust, a few lovely DDs and one gold GMT. Nothing to write home about.....

My BIL was in the Dubai Mall boutique recently and said they were fully stocked with sports models (no Daytona C though). The Daytona's have always been reserved for "premium" customers. Knowing someone goes a long way to getting rarer models.

Every Rolex store in Dubai is owned by Sadiqqi and Sons. Other than the Daytona, if the store you're in doesn't have the model you're looking for, they can drive one over from one of their other stores.

Dubai prices aren't that great. The DOH boutique has much better prices.

The may well have been fully stocked recently, but they weren’t when I was there on Thursday last week.

Perhaps they’d just had a shipment when your brother in law was there

I heard that if you make your way to the top floor and defeat all the bosses along the way, there is a room full of Daytonas.
