Daytona decisions

If given a choice between a modern (2008) SS Daytona with box and papers or a minty TT Zenith Daytona with box and papers which would you choose

Now that is a bit of a tough cookie. I presume price point is roughly similar and there's a reason for it. TT does not seem that popular but it's a looker. Just maybe not so good for collecting. Ss seems to be the more sought after model. But my thoughts linger with the zenith movement 16520 that is why I kept holding back pulling the trigger. I do not like the polished look of the 116520.

116520 for me. Full gold or SS would be my personal preference regardless of move ment.

In March of this year I purchased a T/T Daytona 116503 the new model with Classic White Dial & Gold Sub Dials & it looks fantastic. Though I am a lover of T/T models as I also have a Sub 116613LB for their robust nature as opposed to full Gold models who aren't suited to everyday wear. But the T/T brings with it a touch of elegance

Zenith or not, TT is not my thing, so I would go with the SS model.

I'd go with the stainless....not a two tone fan.

I'd say stainless, since TT just isn't my thing.

I love TT. I have a TT blue sub and a TT blue thunderbird. I just got a gold Daytona though. Love it!!
As far as the two tone here is just a thought. Less demand so maybe fewer made then SS. So, maybe just maybe they might be more valuable long term.

I was in same position. I let my heart rule my head and went with Zenith, despite reservations about tt watches and knowing selling would be difficult. Posted lots of pictures when I got it

Absolutely no regrets, it’s easily the nicest watch I’ve ever had, concerns about resale have long gone, and its opened up a new world to me, I quite like a few tt watches now!

I see pics of the newer ones posted regularly, just confirms the choice I made each time

Get a 16519 or 16518. It's on factory Rolex leather and solid gold. Six options or so to change up the look or replace the band for cheap when it gets worn out.

It's a tough decision until you've had them both in your hands. There is a certain "charm" in the feel that folks refer too when speaking on the 5 digit Daytonas, which I totally agree with! The 6 digit will be more of a solid, "modern" feel.

SS Daytona with box and papers here. The DaytonaC would be the one IMHO.
