Reserve Power when idle ???
I'd like to get a few opinions on this if you don't mind. My GMT II (116710) will occasionally stop when sitting idle overnight. I wear it daily but being retired I'm not as active as I once was. Seems that every 3-4 days it will stop after sitting 7-8 hours. Starts right back up with a rewind (max 45 strokes) and will be OK for several days. A friend said its just a lube issue but if I hold it up to my ear and flip it fore/aft I can hear a faint sound almost like rubbing. Appreciate any comments and Thanks.

No, it's not a lube issue, it is an activity issue.
An automatic watch will always run-down to the lowest level of wind being put into it each day by the wearer. In many cases, when the wearer is sedentary (bed ridden, book reader, computer worker, etc.) the watch will run-down and stop on the wrist because the amount of activity is less than the power needed to run it. So, wearing it is irrelevant as wearing it does not wind it, movement (activity) does. Usually, for these folks, a full winding once a week is all that is necessary
