Are you sure its the watch they are looking at? Maybe they are just trying to strike up a conversation with her!
Happens to me all the time!

My wife's LV Regatta creates lots of conversation as well ... or maybe it's her looks!

the all-white (ceramic?) case and bracelet is unorthodox and gets noticed. metal watches are the norm.

I would say 75% of them are women the other 25% are salesmen at the shoe department.

I was just messing with you Art!
It's not the kind of watch you see everyday so it stands out a bit more!

You have to admit that the Chanel sure is a purty watch!

That J12 is really nice, I have to admit!

And this might seem sacrilegious , but the mens' J12 in black is a very fine looking watch too... I've read that Chanel is starting to gain some respect in watch circles for their pieces.

ROLEX more than that I believe.
My wife love my Sub ND, I think I want to re-size the bracelets and let her wear it.

That is a great looking watch. Why are you showing it and not your wife? IMO, color and bling factor into women's watches more so than men's. Art said 75% of the comments are coming from women. SS? (yawn). TT? (yawn), Daytona? (yawn). White ceramic (wow)!. Diamond markers (wow)!

That Chanel is very much in fashion right now. I think Cindy McCain and Hillary Clinton both have them.

While I personally much prefer the DJ, the Chanels are nice watches in their own right.

The J12 is being re-issued with a manufacture Audemars Piguet movement. It is reportedly high in demand.

It may have to do with the fact that she's a lady and out of respect women are sometimes more praised than man for their outfits and watches. Another reason may be that when wearing long suits or jackets it may obstruct your rolex.

I knew it had to be the ceramic piece from the thread title. It's quite the looker in person and in photos.

Right now they could put a Ft. Collins radio in it and it would sell for big money.

There is something about the J12 that gives me the creeps.

It is a gorgeous watch but that ceramic really does remind me of bone/ivory!!!!!

Weird!

Yup, I agree with this. It's a fashion watch so it's meant to get that type of reaction but as soon as trends shift, that's that, while your Datejust will still be in style.

Well, most women I know would pick the Chanel over any Rolex in a heartbeat, so her Chanel gets more attention from other women.
As for the shoe salemen, they are probably just looking to compliment anything to make a sale!

Nice watch but definitely not the quality of Rolex. Love the DJ by the way.

Women comment on women, that's just how it is. They will comment on clothes, jewellery, hand bag, new hair style. Men just don't do that kind of thing. Unless you are a member of this forum. And on that note, i like your hair ... it looks very soft ... can I stroke it?
