Tudor Black Bay Authentic?
He guys!
So my grandmother recently passed so I decided to purchase a pre owned black bay red to commemorate her. I plan to engrave it. I purchased it pre owned here in Canada. A few things that are tipping me off 1. The warranty card states it was purchased at “nymans UR 1851 Sweden” which makes me wonder how it got here? 2. The Pearl seems very sunken in to me? Please judge best you can by these photos ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks good to me. The pearl is the only question mark, but mine is also sunken a little bit. Mine is the later, in house, so there’s no guarantee they’d be the same anyway.
I vote it’s good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Looks fine to me.
"1. The warranty card states it was purchased at “nymans UR 1851 Sweden” which makes me wonder how it got here?" Aeroplane, probably. "2. The Pearl seems very sunken in to me?" It's not a Rolex-style pearl, it's a flat filling. Check the serial on the warranty card matches the serial on the back of the watch case, if you want more reassurance. ![]() |

sorry about your grandmother's passing.
i think you're good. if its an early production BB (2012), it may just have some wear or defect with the factory pearl. open the flip lock and see if there's white ball bearings which snap the clasp shut (if same as the heritage chrono buckle) and ensure the ser# is the same as on the card. should be on back lugs. ![]() |

![]() ![]() btw is that French? I'd be more curious why Swedish AD card would be in French vs German or Swede. Or does Europe only get 1 type and everybody accepts Swiss French ![]() |

They changed from French to English a few years ago, with the latest card design, around the time Tudor returned to the USA and UK markets.

The watch looks fine to me.
The recessed bezel pip is quite normal, it seems Tudor thought it was a good idea. Perhaps it good for protecting the pip, but it does collect detritus. ![]() This watch came from an AD |

I had a BB Red before and the pearl was nowhere near as sunken in as that. If it bothers you - take it to a RSC to get this fixed. I am sure the cost wouldnt be that much.

Genuine
The dial's Tudor rose logo has smaller interconnecting lines which non of the higher end fakes could get right. However some lower end fakes can get this feature right but the other tell signs don't correspond to this |
