44mm IO vs 42mm mustard

Tried these on at the AD... how do you guys think they look?

I am liking the fit of the titanium but the RG on the 42 looks more attractive on me, in my opinion. It might just be that shiny things attract me, but I am drawn by the thickness of the case as well. The mustard to me, as I am seeing many people refer to it as, is actually not too offputting to my eye as I know many members do not quite get a sensational feeling with it. I think pictures do not do it justice, however I do think I would prefer rubber over the leather. On the other hand, the titanium looks awesome and could be more dedicated as a daily. Almost inclined to pick one of these up.

Looking forward to any honest inputs!

Thanks!

The titanium actually sits better on your wrist. I've had a few 42s and when I bought my 44 I found that it's just a better shape proportionally and as long as you can carry off the size then it wins hands down. The titanium looks great on you.

The pushers on the 44 kept digging into my wrist and was quite bothersome. It wasn't until after I had left the AD that I noticed many people on the board wearing it behind the wrist bone. Seems like a smart thing to do and will try doing that when my novelty 44 comes in.

Do you find yourself wearing it close up towards the wrist? Currently for my Rolex I personally like it as snug up to the front at all possible times, as you can tell by the way I'm wearing them in the pictures...but I feel like that would not be the case for 44's

if you can pull off a 44 then i see no need to add a 42 unless its a diver. The 44 chronograph is a better design to me. Case shape, bezel, color scheme (for the RG).

I dont hate the RG 42mm, i just wouldn't choose it over a 44. If its in addition to a 44 I think its more viable.

Is a RG piece easy to be wearing all the time or are there certain situations you guys find yourself in where steel/titanium seems to be more fitting?

No I wear it further back than that, it's not a conscious thing, it just sits further back. I can imagine it would be uncomfortable further forward.

That looks awesome. Looks like a perfect fit on your wrist and the captured brushed finishing is making me drool

44 looks better as the watch is sitting in the correct position - well where I wear my watches anyways :)

Also, the RG does not suit your complexion as nicely as the Ti model does.

Wow that 44 fits perfect on your wrist. Absolutely perfect. Just pick your favorite 44 and your good. I’m jealous. The 44 looks like a Batman tool on me.

Both look good on you and yes I wear my 44 back behind my wrist bone, as on all my watches, so the pushers don't touch the back of my hand when I raise my palms. If you like a bit of bling the RG 44 would be ideal I think.

44 Ti all the way! Most comfortable watch I own. Also love my new RG44 and would take either all day long over a 42 ROO. It looks fine on you by the way so go for it!

I think the TI looks great on you.

I tried on the YG the other day, which I didn’t love, but I preferred it by a fair margin over the Mustard. I loved the weight of the piece.

Wear my RG ROO rubber clad all the time. People barely notice it and it goes with most things.

The 42 ROO is the ROO to own. It is true to the Genta design. I read recently that Genta would detest the deeply unsympathetic pusher housings. I much prefer the original ROO.

Not factually correct.

On my visit to the AP museum in Le Brassus the tour guide informed us that Gerald Genta detested the 42 Offshore and felt it had ruined his design.

So it sounded like I didn't get all the facts. If he didn't like the 42mm, goodness knows what he'd think about the 44mm!

AP RG is magnificent

Love the TI 44 but AP RG has a special presence. Can’t go wrong with either.

The 44 felt quite large on my wrist although I would agree that it isn't overly sized. I am just prepared to take some time for the transition between my current 41mm Rolex.

I am awaiting the arrival of my RG 44. Just taking a while to make it to its new home. Never got to see it in person so I went to the AD to try out the 44'for sizing and such. I noticed the rubbing on my wrist when raising my palms as well when I was wearing it. Couldn't say I really favored it so still have to try and see how it is behind the wristbone once it arrives!

Is there a noticeable difference in comfort between the Ti and RG?

Felt torn between the 44 and 42 since the 44 doesn't come in bracelet and that was a turn off for me. However the pros outweighed the cons and the 44 just seemed like the right decision for me. That all gold 42 looks great though!

Times be a changing. I tried on the full gold RG 39 (maybe jumbo?) at the AD and it just didn't seem right on my wrist at the time. Plus my SO said it made me look like an old man so maybe that was it
