FS > EBEL PROTOTYPE - post Zenith El Primero - pre Le Modulor












Up for sale is a very rare and interesting EBEL Automatic Chronograph.
This is a numbered transitional model named "Test Proto" that was produced in a rather low number after the classic El Primero chronographs and before Ebel introduced the Le Modulor series.
It uses the EBEL 137 movement (based on the same Lemania 1350 used in the Breguet Type XX) which currently runs very good at +8 sec / 24H. All functions work perfectly while the power reserve and automatic winding are great, but the service history is unknown.
The stainless steel case has the same design as the previous El Primero models and measures 40 mm across and 20 mm between the lugs.
Comes on the original EBEL leather strap, but has no original box or paperwork.
The overall condition of the watch is NEAR MINT as there is almost no sign of wear on either case crystal or strap.
