Differences between 2230 and 2231

Could somebody provide me with information on the differences between the two calibres?

2231 has taller cannon pinion, hour wheel, Second wheel, and alignment bridge (2231-300) for the thicker dials used on this caliber.

So you could substitute a 2230 balance complete in a 2231, Right??
