Rolex GMT 16700 - Watch condition advice (pics inside)

Hi

I have the possibility to buy the attached watch. It’s from 1997. Do you guys with trained eyes think it looks good?

See link for high resolution pics:

Many thanks!

Looks good but not sure of the " swiss" only dial , I thought these were only fitted on late 98-99 models , or it's a service dial . Could be wrong though , but as everything it all depends on the price .

Dial has been changed, and possibly the hands. Can’t see whether the lugs have any chamfer left or not ?????

It is common for Rolex Service Centers to offer a dial an hand change for watches with “T” dials. The dial change should not be a concern in your decision making.

I have 16700 Swiss only dial from 1999, and when I did quick comparison, your Pepsi insert look very different from mine.

I agree, difficult to assess and I won’t be able to see it live before purchase as it is in a different city.

Price is 6800usd.

The dial is correct for the watch. It should be Luminova. There is nothing wrong with the insert either.
