1680 Red Submariner

Has anyone here dealt with this seller before? He seems to have good feedback. Checkout this watch description, which reads in part:

The following comments are based on my (limited) experience as a collector. I readily admit that I am not a dealer or a watchmaker. I believe that I am discerning in my collecting and accurate in my description. I am not into collecting or selling a watch that has been put together from other watches (frankenwatch) or a poor condition flipper. I have done my best to disclose/describe everything to the best of my ability. I have tried to be very careful in my description and if you win the auction and are not happy with what you get, I will gladly take the watch back and give a full refund, provided the item is returned in its original condition. (International Buyers be advised that shipping the watch back may not be possible due to restrictions on Rolex imports to the USA) Buyer must contact me within 2 days to request a refund. Item must be returned in its original condition within 7 days. I will refund the full amount less shipping, as customary.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Dial: Amazing Original Condition Dial with beautiful patina. Never retouched. SUBMARINER in nice bright red. "Open 6's" Dial!

Hands: Excellent Condition with patina that matches to the dial. Some slight corrosion caused by normal tritium aging visible under magnification.

Case: Shows some wear. I am not experienced anough to say how much it has been polished. It looks excellent to me. the sides are very flat and the lines as you can see are very crisp. Case has little if any corrision.

Crown: Original crown! Note the crown does not have the 3 dots! That's because this is NOT the service Trip-lock crown, but the earlier, original corwn which is more rare/desirable!

Caseback: Excellent condition. Screws on very smoothly. Marked "I 70" Has some inscriptions indicative of previous service.

Movement: 1570 Movement seems to be running strong. I have not timed the movement and do not wear it regularly (the main reason I am selling).

Calendar Wheel: Open 6's and Open 9's silver disc original, not a replacement.

Bezel: I am not sure if this is the original bezel that came with the watch when it was made, but I can say with some certainty it is an original Rolex part. Insert: I can say with some certainty that this is an original Rolex replacement insert.

Bracelet: Watch is offered in this auction WITHOUT a bracelet because the Buyer may wish to find a 9315 model folded bracelet. This would have been the original bracelet that sold with the watch in 1970. I do have the pictured Model #93150 with 593 numbered endpieces, but it is not correct for the year of this watch. If a Buyer has interest in the 93150 with 593 endpieces, I can say the 93150 has almost no stretch and all the links. It has been used, but is in excellent condition. I am selling the watch WITHOUT the pictured 93150 bracelet in this auction but I would offer the bracelet to the Buyer.

This is a very thorough description. Need more guys like him, maybe he's a member here as he used "frankenwatch" in his description. It looks like there might have been some extra polishing to one of the lugs. What do you think Orchi?

Err buddies...Orchi found just a couple of questions with this listing...

Bezel insert Pearl n Hands may be later replacement by RSC...n may still be luminous...?

Date Fonts may not be consistent with early "open 9 or 6"...as shown by
comparison with the one from the similar period 2.5 million series case n dial.

But the Seller's attempts to provide full disclosure is very commendable n the price might be reasonable...considering the recent down trend market forces n watch conditions.

Orchi, you are correct on the bezel insert being a replacement part, he states that in his listing.
