Bluesy TT vs Bluesy YG
I always have loved this watch. Just curious, with owners of either, which version do you find more attractive or stunning. I am not taking price into consideration...just the look of the TT model vs yg model.
There r certain models that look better in tt at least for me...the ym2 with tt (ss and rg) looks stunning and so does the tt bluesy...but that yg bluesy also is stunning! |

Some people say the TT is more flashy and I agree somewhat sometimes - i think due to the contrast it attracts peoples eye a lot more.
But nothing beats the 116618LB - pure class and one of the ultimate watches available. |

Hard to say...they both have their charm. Owned both, love them both.
Currently have the YG version, but I would be very happy with the TT if I needed to downsize the collection. |

Bluesy might be one of the only watches I prefer in two tone. Just something about it looks right.

The bluesy TT is a classic reference and one of the first that got me interested in Rolex. It's indeed a flashy watch and not one I personally could pull off, but love the look. Admittedly I'm a bit more of a fan of the 5-digit bluesy, maybe since it was the first to make a strong impression. Cheers!

I like a lot of two tone Rolex models, many on the forum aren’t fond of TT. The bluesy is one of the boldest and best in the lineup. I think it’s a personal style choice between YG & TT.....no wrong answer! I’d say both have pros and cons. Go with what you’re comfortable wearing, and fits your style |

If money is not an object, YG is the one to have.

I think I had asked a similar question a while back. Price aside, as much as I wanted to convince myself the all YG looked better, I found the TT to look more appealing, personally. Like others have mentioned, I think it may due to the contrast.

I’ve had both and the one that came back was the TT. It just looks better to me, fwiw.
Both are flashy, but I definitely feel more comfortable wearing the TT. Anything in all YG, especially a Rolex, commands some attention. |

YG for me, but the TT is iconic and one of the best TT watches out there.

Very interesting question. There are some who say those who can’t afford full gold buy the bluesy. I think that is crap. I prefer the look of the 116613 lb over the 116618lb. I appreciate the extra robustness of the two tone case and I chose a DD for my solid gold piece. If I wanted a solid gold sub I would go with the 116618ln. Again just personal preference. I think the blue stainless and gold combination just looks better than the full gold, not that the full gold is anything to sneeze at. So bottom line, as always , get what YOU love as no one else really cares. A few pics of my bluesy!

The TT Sub is beautiful, but the YG Sub is the most beautiful watch in the world!
Nothing like a creamy, opulent hunk of solid gold on the wrist. |

They are both lovely watches. If you start with the TT, in a few years, you may have an inch for the all YG. I think you are less likely, however, to go the other way of you start off with the 116618LB.
No wrong choice ultimately. |

Neil, Larry and Richard already nailed it pretty good!!
I have a soft spot for the TT but it goes back to when I was in my 20s and was my dream watch then. That was actually my second watch I purchased then as well. FF 20 years and I still love the TT LB. I find it a little more versatile in my life than the PM counterpart and I wear it daily where PM pieces other than the BLRO were worn sparingly. I like it in the office as well because I generally never have to give too much thought in the morning as to which cuff links I am going to use. |

I vote for the two-tone!
Just a matter of personal taste. I’ve always preferred silver and white gold over yellow gold. So, I love the silver look of the SS paired with the yellow gold on my “bluesy.” The all gold sub is beautiful too, but I personally would take the two-tone because of the SS. |

As the former owner of multiple 2 tones, and current owner of full gold, I completely agree that the full gold is FAR less loud. I know that makes zero sense, but it is what it is. The 2 watches that have always attracted attention, are the bluesy 2 tone and my AP’s. (and I might add, the SS sky dweller. It’s loud as hell)

I always associated the bluesy as a 2 tone. Not that I would kick an all gold bluesy out of bed for eating crackers though......

I bought the 13LB for the beautiful sunburst dial - which I believe is exactly the same dial whether in TT or full YG.
If I had the funds, the full YG version would be sitting in my watch box right now... It's the dial that was the draw...the case material choice was purely down to available funds at the time...but I love it regardless. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

I've had both and currently have the Bluesy. Both are fantastic as they share the same sunburst dial which is the best feature imo. But for some reason I wore the two tone more. I think because it was more versatile as it has the silver color from the stainless case in addition to the blue and yellow on the full gold piece.
