Does it look like a DJ41 with the stick dial on the wrist at first glance?

Only if your eyes can somehow miss that massive ring in the middle of the dial.

Not to someone who knows watches. The GMT ring stands out and makes it an obvious SkyD.

skyds look quite different in the wild from dd and dj imho. unmistakable rolex. modern and quite a lot of wrist presence are my impressions when I see them.

No! I think that a white gold president looks a whole lot more like a datejust than the sky dweller does...

Not a chance. There is no mistaking the Sky Dweller.

There is a DJ2 look with the large batons and large fluted bezel, but it ends there. That watch is in another league, even to the casual observer!

A fellow unenthusiastic colleague at my workplace who knows zilch about watches could not differentiate a SubDate ceramic from a preceramic on close inspection, a Speedy manual winding from an automatic Speedy reduced and seriously to my surprise thought the Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co Axial and the Seamaster Spectre were one and the same watch. I sold my Seamaster 300 to him almost 18 months ago and he still thinks he's James Bond.....because once a while, he sends messages telling me how much he enjoys wearing the Spectre watch🤦

Impression: What the Mind Does Not Know, the Eyes Do Not See.

If you wanted my opinion then of course your SkyD has unrivalled dramatic visual impact with great wrist presence

At a glance and to the untrained eye, absolutely could be mistaken for a DJ.

Not to the members on this forum. But for the non-WIS it would look like a DJ.

All of the above 100%. To us 5% nope, but to 95% of the population, yes.

Heck, some people on this forum can’t tell the difference between a SD43 and a sub date

If I was not interested in watches and took a cursory glance at your watch I might well think it as a DJ.....

But if I knew my watches, and I saw your watch as you have shown in the photo I would recognise it immediately as a Sky-Dweller.

If I was in a restaurant, several tables away or across the room and I saw your watch on your wrist, yes, I think I may believe it to be a DJ because I would not expect someone wearing a scruffy faded old shirt to be wearing a Sky-Dweller

To a non WIS, I'm sure they just see a Rolex.
One of the things I like about my NEW SD43 is that everyone I know just assumes I'm wearing my trusty OLD 14060m when I wear it. I've never shared I purchased a new watch to anyone outside of this forum. I don't feel the need to share my love of watches to those without the same affection.

If it gets mistaken for any other Rolex at all, it would be the DJ2.
