Looks like an old 6200 sub from the 1950s, it just needs a different bezel.

Stunning! I am sure it makes a good pair with your Submariner.

I am debating between an Explorer and a Datejust 41 as my second Rolex.

Indeed! A Rolex (1016) Explorer was the choice of Ian Fleming. Wear it in good health. Cheers!

Great watch. We gave my son a "birth year" 14270 for HS graduation last year. Of course, I get to look after it for him while he's away at college!

Great watch. I’ve had my eye on one for a while now. Just can’t seem to pull the trigger as the 214270 keeps nagging me a bit too.

Congratulations on a great pickup. I wear mine probably more than any other watch. It's my go-to "work watch" during the week.

Congrats on a classic piece. (If I didn't need a date feature, I would have gotten its modern counterpart the second it became available.)

Thanks all - the story behind the watch is that I put £300 into crypto currencies back in August and by early January they equalled £3500. Obvious solution was to crystallise the gains into a sweet sweet timepiece.
