A beautiful sight for sore eyes!

Hello TRF Members,

My name is Andrew and I am a 26 year old that works at a prestigious car dealership in Toronto, Canada. I have been a member of this forum since Oct 2013 and have yet to post a single thing, Until today. I do not own a Rolex timepiece yet but and very close to purchasing my first one. I have the Submariner 114060 or a Datejust 41 126333 as my target. I do plan on purchasing before my 27th birthday. I just wanted to share a photo with you guys from colleagues from my work. This isn't even half the amount of Rolex watches in this company, just the ones I could round up for the photo. We are one big Rolex family. Anyway enjoy the rest of your evenings and will post another photo once I receive my first watch.

good luck. Enjoy the journey.

IMHO go DJ41. Basically a perfect watch for everything.

Early congrats on your first rolex! Looks like subs/gmts are part of the uniform at your dealership!

So many quick responses, I guess the Datejust 41 is a perfect watch for everything but then again isnt a ND SubC? I Work for Grand Touring Automobiles Downtown - Which sells an assortment of brands such as - Rolls Royce , Bentley , Aston Martin, Bugatti, Lamborghini , Karma , Jaguar & Land Rover. Only official dealer in Ontario for the super lux cars. I do love Porsche vehicles as well as they hold there value like no other and are built very well.

Cool photo. This post reminds me of a Sunday morning ten years ago when I was leaving downtown Toronto at the crack of dawn for short drive home to Buffalo. It was a beautiful morning for a drive, and there was no one on the road except for a gorgeous Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and me. He was westbound, and the car had California plates on it, and I wondered if that's where he was headed.

Andrew. Considering the number of Subs and GMTs at your dealership (along with the high-end cars that you carry), maybe consider a Daytona? It would not only be different from the other Rolex-wearing staffers but also groove with the automotive theme.

Very nice collection in that pic ...
I’d opt for the Sub C ... more versatile to me at least .
DJ is nice but more dressy to my liking .
A nice piece to have in a collection but as an only one ?
Gotta be a Sub or GMT...

From one Andrew to another, welcome! I think any of the Rolexes you are considering will make a fantastic first choice. Don't think too much about which one because I guarantee you will end up with 2-3 at least. I think a DJ and a Sub/GMT will make a perfect pair so get whichever that sings to you!

Welcome to the board, you'll learn lots!! I definitely did ... also as Toronto and the surrounding area has multiple ADs shop around (as sometimes you can save our ridiculous tax).

I'd start with the 114060 .. then add to it. But try them out and whichever sings to you is the one you should pick up!! (That's how I started with my 16610LV and now I have four waiting for my fifth)

Congrats! I just got my Rolex datejust 41. It was a couple months after my 26th birthday as well.

I would post a pic, but I have to get to 10 posts first

I would not wear a nice watch during the test drive as there are many shitty drivers out there.

Better to not get your watch scratched being in an accident of a bad driver

From Toronto as well, we also share the same first name, and I was at my BMW dealership earlier today for a service wearing my new Rolex Daytona....coincidence?!?

Personally, I think the Sub is one of the most sublime and iconic timepieces ever created, and next year will be adding a Sub of my own...once the wife get's over the Daytona....:-)

Keep us posted on what you decide on....congratulations.
