AP ROO Certificate without retailer's signature
I have just purchased an AP ROO Safari from the gray market.
I managed to register the watch at Audemars Piguet web site with correct data from the certificate page. What puzzles me a bit is that this page contains retailer's stamp but not the signature as required. Is this common, and does anybody see any issues with that? |

Yes, as above considering AP in clearwater sold the watch that is the definitive answer that its OK that its not signed. Its not from some AD.
LOL at the supply chain though. APSC selling direct to a grey dealer.... no wonder no employee wanted to actually sign the book Was the watch truly BNIB or was it used? Im assuming BNIB because it was not already registered by the previous owner. |

That is pretty funny that APSC sold to a gray dealer, have to assume they offered some sort of discount to make it worth their while? Very odd indeed but great deal for OP. Enjoy it! |

My 26400SO was also from APNA through a grey dealer. I wonder if they actually sell watches as they're not listed as an official retailer on the website. I also thought that they might issue replacement watches.

Thank you all for prompt answers
I am actually not sure if the gray dealer got it directly from the Clearwater or if he purchased it from an intermediate owner. I will actually check it since you now have awaken my curiosity |

its official. I will now buy all AP's from grey. I held out for a long time as i try to do things the right way but if they are selling watches to dealers then im buying from them from grey dealers. No more paying close retail for me from authorized channels

yeah there really is no point doing AD for AP - i got my ROO Elephant and Navy at such good prices at grey (£12k) vs what I would be paying at AD (£19k)

if they were smart they would go PP style with a certificate of origin. Im a sucker for my name on the paperwork. With AP i dont have to worry about giving my son my watch some day and having to answer why some guy named John Smith is on the paperwork. There isnt a name on the paperwork no matter where i get it. If AP knows in some database somewhere that means nothing to me and i dont care.
