Big Blag in Brighton!

Wow! Just the next day after I was looking at the Rolexes in the big AD here in Brighton, they get robbed BIG STYLE!!
They had a big selection of Daytonas, Subs & SDs, AKs and Cellinis and others - some fellas in white paper forensic suits walked in and cleared them out in less than a minute and in front of loads of people, they then jumped into a Volvo and drove away!
Personally I think it was an inside job - they had a leopard Daytona and another Daytona monstrosity they have had on display for ages - they went too! Personally I think the robbers did them a favour!

Probably the only way that the AD would ever get shot of the Leopard Daytona was if someone walked off with it. And they did!

They must have been very uninformed otherwise they would have left the Leopard Daytona behind

I'd love to see them try and sell that without rousing suspicion

I very much doubt it

I was at my AD in Eastbourne picking up my DSSD at the same time this was hapenning.
I overheard the panic stricken telephone call straight afterwards, and all the staff were in shock.

My AD was very saddened and worried as he used to manage Goldsmiths in Ship Street, and he himself has been robbed twice this year in a similar fashion.
The atmosphere in the store was very somber after this news... and what should have been a happy experience for me, turned out to be quite an uneasy one.

My thoughts go out to all staff concerned, and lets hope they catch these scum soon!

To be honest, I am sure that it was a pretty scary experience - at the moment it happens no one knows if the robbers are armed or whatever and I bet they were really shaken.

But also relieved they got shot of that awful leopard Daytona....

I've heard of thieves going into a store to steal SS Daytonas. The AD told them he would put them on a list and let them know when "THE CALL" would come. Also that he would have to engrave their names on the back!

I know this shop, I did business with a guy behind them at the lanes in Brighton
nice Persian fellow by the name of Parvesh. I sold him a couple of times, not one, but
two 6239's for silly money back then.
Always thought that this Rolex AD was begging to be robbed.
Nobody in the floor, most of the time, empty and rundown looking, I am surprised
it did not happen more often.

Oh dear, I was in there a few weeks back prior to the re-fit checking out an IWC 5001 and was looking forward to spending some time in there next weekend as the wife and I are staying down there for a couple of nights.

Not good at all very friendly bunch in there
