Bold Basel World Prediction

I'm not advocating for this, simply predicting....With the new Date-Just 41 being (as I understand it) 39.5mm, I could absolutely see Rolex discontinuing the classic Date-Just 36. I feel like the the DJ41 splits the difference betwen the DJ2 and the classic DJ36.

I think 39.5 is a perfect modern size. Seems like 34 to 36mm is squarely in the "too big for (most) women and too small for (most) men" camp. Although the DJ is a classic, they did move the Explorer from 36 to 39.

Thoughts?
