Strap options for BLNR

I just purchased my first Rolex. It’s an awesome time piece and the one issue I have with it is the polished center links. I’m not terribly rough on my watches but I know it will get scratches. That being said, I think I want to look at replacing the bracelet for summer beach vacations/cruising. I’d imagine sand could do a number on the polish on those center links.

I have looked into both RubberB and Everest. I am just curious I as to what other options people are going with. Any nato or zulus on your Batman??

And lastly, how difficult is the swap?? Any specific tools needed? My AD offered to do the swap for me but I would hate to continue bringining it their every couple of weeks throughout the summer. On a side note, he offered to polish the links once a year free of charge as well.

I think a sailcloth strap with blue stitching would work nicely with the BLNR. Not a BLNR but my ceramic bezel Aquaracer with a similar styled strap:

If PCL is a concern... Look no further than a Glidleock bracelet fro a SubC. All the comforts and beyond of the easylink, and no PCL.

I put mine on a glidelock and haven't looked back at the Everest or others in the drawer. It was expensive but had the fit, feel, and look I appreciate from Rolex sports watches.

This is probably my favorite combination outside from the original bracelet.

Is it possible to buy just the glidelock piece of the subc bracelet from an AD? What would it cost?

I don't know; I think the bracelets on these 6 digit Rolexes are so wonderful, it's almost criminal to remove them. But if beach damage is your main cause of worry, I recommend a solid black Maratac or similar NATO.

+3 on the Glidelock. Makes a huge difference for me, both looks and functionality.

I'm not sure- I've heard rumors that some people have been able to buy the entire bracelet from an AD, but can't confirm. I've seen both the bracelet, and just the clasp come up for sale in the forums here, but not often, and they are usually gone pretty quick (about $2000 or so for the bracelet).

Your best bet may be to buy a used SubC, remove the bracelet, and then sell off the watch head.

Don't count on it unless you have a very inside connection.

Check out the Parts For Sale subforum, as the bracelets come up for sale every once in a while. You can also message some of the more prolific sellers to see if they can get something for you.

I second Rubber B as being a perfect fit. I like how it looks better than Everest personally. You could always just get your bracelet fully brushed. Far less expensive than trying to source a glidelock bracelet.

I have the blue everest strap and it looks amazing with it, but nothing can top the PCL's it came with. I know how frustrating it can be in the beginning but you will learn to appreciate the PCL's even with all the scratches.

I use the black Everest strap, and a Bergeon 7825 fork to swap the bands. The 7825 is definitely on the expensive end, but I wanted to be careful and not scratch the case when swapping. The fork is much easier to use than a single spring bar tool

I had it for a little while on that leather strap but didn’t like it and ended up putting it back on PCL

I like this and green stripe for LVC, only issue is without endlinks these make the lugs look too thick.

Ben- These pictures look great.

AK797- I think it would look off with the endlinks. That fit looks OEM, no spacings or gaps. It's a winner IMO.

If I were to switch from bracelet to strap, this would definitely be it.

Can any reputable watch repair shop swap the clasp out of the standard bracelet and put it on this one?

It's pretty easy, many youtube video tutorials. Save the money and do it yourself.
