i secured this piece about a year ago whilst on holiday in singapore and its sat at the panerai boutique for 8 months awaiting for me to collect it.
The branch manager told me that this was the last piece to come off the panerai factory(not sure if thats true)
On another note ive been told that this boutique does a million dollars of business every month just on straps alone which i find rather gobsmacking

I’m not sure how you waited 8 months to pick it up though

FWIW, I’ve tried several different strap combos but I keep coming back to the factory assolutamonte. I think it works best with this piece.

As for the boutiques comment on their strap business ... I’d say that’s an aggressive number

$1 million in sales on straps a month?? That is pretty amazing for one boutique.

Congrats! This is my fav 1940 case IMHO and one of my fav PAMs, period. The blue sunburst clean dial and domed sapphire are true winners! There are a number of great strap combinations for this PAM...from OEM, you can dress up with a blue croc (PAM 670 strap) or go casual with a PV...and the gray assouloumente strap looks smokin hot on the PAM 690...

From an after market perspective, look to Vintager, Mays, Kyros (Mira is perfect!) and Mark Sanders for some nice offerings that will go with the 690...congrats!!!

They got $500 out of me for straps a few months back....I guess it all adds up.
The sale of watches was pretty brisk over the half hour I spent in the boutique... the cash register was running hot !!!!!
