Stainless Sky D

Hey TRF,

Are there any SS Sky D for sale at an AD in the USA? Are we still waiting for Rolex to start shipping them again??

Thanks,

NB

I had a SS SkyD offered to me from an AD just last week. I turned it down because I am on the market for a Daytona. The AD had just received it and called me because I had been in the store showing serious interest. Stop by an AD or two and start asking them directly; one will show up soon enough for you.

I’ve been on a list for a blue SkyD for a while with no luck so far...

I saw a black SS Sky Dweller at an AD in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago. It was in the display case, and I could have bought it if I wanted to. I passed, and someone on here bought it within an hour or two.

With my sighting today and the other lucky member who bought a white dial that was sitting in the case of a LA AD, looks like these are becoming more common!

This is great news! I know where to find the white TT. And I have a lead on the champagne TT. No luck on a stainless. I may go for the champagne TY

Is there a rhyme or reason to where they show up?

Black. Which, I must admit, has captured my attention. I originally really liked the blue, but some photos here recently have me coming around on this one...

Wow. That is good news to see them starting to show up. Been on list with AD for couple of months for blue. Pics of blacks dials on the forum look sharp but unfortunately never seen either in person.

I was told that a Skydweller takes 14 months to make when at the nearby AD. Any truth to this?

I was offered a TT , champagne dial a few weeks ago , I tried it to get an idea of the size etc, but I passed since I'm not a TT guy and didn't like the champagne dial at all but I'm not a fan of champagne dials.

I tried on the white one earlier today at an AD in Ohio. I am guessing that is probably a bit far for you to drive from Baltimore though. The white was beautiful and frankly the only reason I did not buy it is because one day I would like to buy the blue one. They told me that seeing one of the blue ones is the equivalent of seeing a unicorn.

I received the 2nd SS my AD has received(black) first one was white and they have yet to see a blue. They move quite a bit of inventory so your “unicorn” comment is fitting for most AD’s it appears. I know they took care of me to elevate me on the list and the waitlist is long.

I have an AD holding a SS Sky-D (Black) for me in Asia, but I am thinking of a Blue one. I will be going to take a look at it in about 2 weeks. I can pick it up if anyone is interested.

I travel quite a bit, work and pleasure. Let me know would be glad to help anyone interested.

I called my ad today who I’ve spent 40k with this year and he told me 14 months on the ceramic Daytona and 8-12 months on any skyD...he’s about as honest as they come
