2018 BLNR Waitlist

I added myself to a waitlist in my home state where the AD said it would be about three months. I currently live in the Dallas where the waitlist to 6 to 8 months. I was curious to see if this is accurate across the board or if anyone is having better luck?

Thanks!

Well.. perhaps should you give a call to some different AD's and just ask them?
Good luck, this is a marvellous model.

My AD in Honolulu told me it would take a year to get me one... but we shall see. I was offered one last year after about a 3 month wait but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger.

They have been showing up recently. Check around at the ADs in the smaller markets. Saw one in the display case last week, gone now, but they are out there.

I think the BLNR is still very popular and sells quickly....but availability fluctuates as Rolex shipments vary. A year ago at this time I saw them in the cases at two dealers but I wasn't looking for one.
In late November I decided to go for it. My first call was to an old friend at the local boutique who told me he could get me one within a month. 10 minutes later he called back to say he had one unspoken for, picked it up that night. I suspect they'll be back in dealer's cases soon as a fair amount have already been delivered this year.

Be persistent, you'll find a dealer with one sooner than you think.

Some good advice above. If it were me, and I really wanted the watch, no way would I wait months, or good lord, longer.

Like Adam said, hit the phones...and in the meantime, take a look at what our trusted sellers have. If you can get one for a few bucks more than you would pay at the store, wouldn't that be worth it? Isn't your time worth something?

I agree with hitting the phones because that’s exactly what I did. I was on several wait lists (I have 8 AD’s within 3 hrs of my house). Shortest wait was 3 months. I hit the phones once/week and struck gold two weeks later. Was told by one AD that if I could come down that day that they’d sell it to me rather than going down their waiting list.

I was calling around ADs in Socal for the Green SubC on Saturday, there was an AD about an hour away saying they had the BLNR available but I stayed true on my search for the Green SubC or SD43...

I bought my BLNR in December at a local AD. Walked in just for the heck of it, expecting to see empty cases (which I did). Asked when I can get a Hulk or BLNR and he pulled a BLNR out of the back.

Like everyone said, call around, You will definitely find one. But if you want to stick with your preferred dealer who doesn't have one, I would say it is about a few months wait (if you are 1st or 2nd on the wait list).

I think many ADs got a shipment of the BLNR in the last couple weeks. After seeing none around anywhere, they are somewhat available.
Unfortunately, in upstate New York right now for corporate business and stopped to my local Rolex store.
Asked the owner about the ‘letter’ and he chuckled as if aware of the internet buzz.
"Which one?" was his reply.
When ADs get the ‘letter’ from Rolex, he said, it’s normally the termination of account version. He said some retailers are receiving them.
No was the answer on both versions.
I did inquire about the availability of the yg Daytona on Oysterflex strap....he said 3-4 months.
I told him, “Giddy-up”.

I really can't believe the craziness and shortage of SS models

When I picked up my BLNR in June 2016, I had a choice of choosing best of 3 BLNRs they had in stock. And after I selected the AD took out Hulk and asked if I wanted to buy both BLNR and Hulk at the same time. I only chose to buy BLNR (not huge fan of green )

I live in Massachusetts and after calling all the ADs locating in my state as well as others (NH, RI, VT, CT, NY, and NJ) for a month straight, I finally found one on Monday.

My advice to you would be to keep calling every day and search outside your own state if possible. People are finding this watch but you really have to work for it/hunt to find one.

Also, if you have an AD that you really like working with then put down a deposit but only with the assurance that you can remove your deposit if too much time has passed (usually they will offer you a 30-day grace period.)

Hang in there!

call the AD in Tyler TX. Ive seen one in there both times i have been in. Its been a few months since ive been there, but they seem to be an out of the way AD without a ton of customers. They are primarily a jewelry store and also sell rolex.

It’s a gorgeous watch and in person it’s way better than how it looks in pictures.
I would say make as many calls as you can and go in person to local ADs then keep checking every now and then. That’s how I got mine

Newer to Rolex and the Forum.

I walked into a local AD earlier this month on a different subject matter. Asked to see the BLRO just for kicks, told the sales to keep me posted on a BLNR as gold is not my passion. Told me to sit tight, and walked out with a BLNR right off the truck or so I am told. Kinda strange it wasn't out in the case. But any rate. Felt compelled and brought it home. Not sure I love love it, but I do think it is a pretty stunning watch!

Just felt I'd like something a little more dressy......Some should warn you about the collection bug after you buy your 1st, it would only be fair.

Please don’t pay these inflated grey prices for Nib or Pre-Owned. I just called a couple dealers and found one 1 hr from me and purchased that day.. no discount but full msrp but very happy with Blnr.

Ditto

(I know I've mentioned the same thing on multiple other posts as well. I'm probably beating a dead horse)

My AD in New Orleans, Lee Michaels, just had a BLNR in the display case at Christmas. Thrown in a couple Mardi Gras parades and it's a good excuse to visit The Big Easy!

Agree with the pound the phones replies. If you call 50 ADs, you'll find one within a month.

My local AD (BC Clark) has one sitting in the case at the downtown location.

Call Joe McNaught at that store and I'm sure he would sell it to you.
