Is there a moderator in the house?

Three times i have asked a moderator for help in selling my Rolex watch. Two times my question was deleted. After reading the rules three times before placing the ad I placed it and it was promptly locked. Would someone PLEASE tell me what i am doing wrong. I'm not trying to have any kind of a pissing contest. Just tell me what I am doing wrong so I can correct it. I belong to a half dozen other forums. If there is an infraction of the rules it is clearly stated in the thread.

If a moderator does not respond, can a member look at my classified ad (it's at the top of page two for a ladies Datejust Diamond Watch. Even in the ad I asked for help if I was doing something wrong.

I don't believe the ladies watch is 100pct kosher with the available info.

Just my initial thought on why it would be removed.

The ad is not locked. No post more than an hour old can be changed, if that's what you are talking about.

A thread featuring this watch was deleted because several members said it is a fake. The ad will now be removed again. If you have a problem with this, you can show it in the Watchout section and ask for opinions on its authenticity. If it's is proven to be authentic, the ad will be returned to the Classifieds.

The best listings are those that include all the info you see in trusted seller's adverts.

Lift from the best, add your unique specs, price, etc.

But above all, be sure the watch is completely authentic...

Thanks SO much for the replies. Here's the deal. The watch belongs to my sister. It was given to her by her ex in 1977. She is retiring, downsizing, and unloading a lifetime of stuff (anyone want to buy a Dune Beetle?). I thought the included paperwork would suffice. It was cleaned and parts replaced last month. Should I get another appraisal?

Just post it here in the watchout section. The same photos you used in the listing. You'll get plenty of appraisals here.

if you have been around here for a wile. All those things are generally red flags.

Post up some pics though.

Now, the problem is, I think this is tongue-in-cheek. Ie. Not too excited to get a flaming lip-ripping. I.e. not serious, right?

Tyler, I did do that originally, started getting some good feedback and the, ZAP!

Look, I fully get the Nigerian double cross. Oh, brother do I get it. So I understand, and honestly appreciate, the pushback from TRF on my ad. I will post pics again later but also don't expect them to stay up long. I'm going to put it in this post, fingers crossed.

I think he is.

You obviously didn't have any problems listing it for sale here so why hesitate now?

Blah, blah, blah...

Not that this holds any weight these days, but I have been a chaplain for four decades. Sooo,

1. I would like not to be one more professionally religious hypocrite who pisses on the glory of God.
2. Seriously, I'm almost seventy, retiring in eight months. Is it really worth five grand for the postal police to bang on my door at three in the morning, carry me away in cuffs, hollering, "It's all a big misunderstanding" in front of the cameras for that? I mean, if it has to happen, it's gotta be at least a million or two. (Now, please, fellow Rolexites, that last sentence was humor for those that get professionally offended.

But I did have problems! It was locked immediately. Plus, as I have already stated, when I asked for help in the discussion forum, the threads were deleted. But here goes...

One more time with feeling...

I'm just posting the pics. I am NOT going to put this back as a classified ad until I learn what to do to get some credibility on this.

mmm, seriously, should I scrub out my sister's name on the repair receipt? (just did)

One more thing. I'm guessing the serial number is inside the back. Should I take that off to get the number and even take a pic?

The watch looks real to me except the dial and bezel are fake or aftermarket.

The serial # is between the lugs.

You have been told more than once the watch is not genuine. Rolex does not make shoddy looking junk like the watch in your image. If you are so sure it is genuine, find the nearest Rolex authorized dealer in your home town and take the watch there to have it authenticated. You will have an answer there very quickly. My2C

At best the watch is a Franken with many fake parts.

something looks off for sure. I dont know if its aftermarket parts or the entire watch. Are you sure its 18k gold? Do you have a kitchen scale? Im sure someone here has a similar size one for comparison purposes and the weight vs ss would be a dead giveaway.

It's the dial and bezel that throws it off.
