Could be OK, but I've never seen a clasp specifically marked like that. If it is legit, I would speculate that it's a franken with a later clasp (should be either no date code or numerical only AFAIK).
However, on the later ones with alpha date codes, the layout is different. So, it's a big "I dunno" for me. Therefore it would also be a "pass" for me. Even if 100% authentic, it is beyond worn, and severely stretched out. I am sure someone like Michael Young could restore it, but if you are starting at $700 before any resto work (and no end pieces), then you are already way behind the value curve, IMO. So, double-pass for me personally. YMMV... |
